GulfSport Racing: Twenty Years at the Forefront of UAE Motorsport

Two decades ago, GulfSport Racing set out to bring world-class customer motorsport to the UAE with Radical Sportscars. Today, it stands at the heart of the region’s racing community. From its long-running Gulf Radical Cup and the growth of the Gulf ProCar championship, to repeated recognition as Radical’s Dealer of the Year, GulfSport Racing has played a pivotal role in shaping the region’s racing scene. Their thriving racewear and equipment store at Dubai Autodrome further solidifies their position as the backbone of regional motorsport in the Gulf. Not forgetting 7 seasons of running Formula Gulf Academy, nurturing young regional talent from the region.

Few race car manufacturers have inspired the same devotion that Radical Motorsport has achieved, and GulfSport Racing has been instrumental in building that culture. Radical’s Dealer of the Year awards are not just trophies; they are a testament to GulfSport’s ability to deliver not only race cars but also a comprehensive ownership and racing experience. Having imported 98 race cars into the Gulf region, and an ethos for meticulous customer care, GulfSport Racing has cultivated a loyal customer base with a highly regarded reputation across the region - their greatest asset.

The Gulf Radical Cup has become a benchmark for how a one-make series should be run on the global stage.  Strong grids of SR3s, close racing, and professional organisation have made it one of the most competitive Radical championships globally. A highlight came in November 2024 during the Kinetic 7 Radical World Finals at Yas Marina Circuit, putting the UAE firmly on the international motorsport map. This event not only underlined GulfSport’s operational experience but also its ability to create a platform where local drivers share the stage with the world’s best.

While the Gulf Radical Cup sets the highest standard in one-make competition, Gulf ProCar has flourished as the UAE’s premier multi-marque sprint series. Grids featuring touring cars and GT machines have been a staple of Gulf ProCar, with careful balance-of-performance and multi-class racing. Enhanced media coverage and stronger storytelling have grown the grid and following, with its reach now attracting teams and drivers from further afield, like Europe, the UK and US.

At the heart of GulfSport’s operation is its racewear and equipment store at Dubai Autodrome. This fully stocked professional shop provides everything from FIA-approved helmets and racewear, to Kart suits, pit to car radios and video data systems. GulfSport Racing staff, who live and breathe motorsport, ensure that every customer leaves with not just the right gear but also the right advice. For drivers arriving for their first day in motorsport or simply looking for the latest kit, the store has become indispensable in the local market.

Twenty years on, GulfSport Racing is more than a race team or series organiser; it is a cornerstone of motorsport in the UAE and Gulf region. From the podiums of Yas Marina Circuit to the shop floor of Dubai Autodrome, GulfSport Racing sets the standard for local competitors, who are not just keeping pace with the growth of UAE motorsport but are also setting it!
