Caparo T1 runs in the Middle East for first time
This was the start of a hot weather testing program that is being carried out over the next month. With ambient temperatures in the mid forties the car ran well. Hope said “the car was running well over the few laps that I did. This is now the third time I have driven a T1 but the first time on a long circuit like the Autodrome. The amount of power produced, but more importantly, the way it is delivered makes the car a real pleasure to drive. It’s ferociously quick, but it also allows you to cruise; it’s like nothing I’ve ever driven”
With private viewings of the car taking place over the summer GulfSport expects to see customers taking delivery of the T1 towards the end of the summer. Just in time for the wonderful winter driving weather of the Gulf.
Most T1 customers are expected to take advantage of the support service that GulfSport Racing offers. They can leave their T1 at the race workshop where it will be prepared by experienced race engineers ready for the next time it gets used. GulfSport will deliver it to the track and provide all the technical and driver support that is required to run the T1. However, it is also expected that some customers will simply keep their T1 in private collections and call on the expertise of GulfSport as and when it is needed.
Private test and training
days will run through the winter allowing
T1 customers to make full use of their cars.
For more information or to arrange a private viewing of the T1 please contact Barry Hope at GulfSport Racing.
