GulfSport Racing (the owners of Formula Gulf 1000) announced today that they will be holding a series of test and training sessions this summer at the Johor Circuit in Malaysia.

Joe Ghanem (Orient Racing) became the first Formula Gulf 1000 Champion after winning 8 of the 14 championship races despite a ‘bad day at the office’ at the Dubai Autodrome.

Friday April 13th offers the last chance to see the region’s best young drivers in action as they battle for championship points and trophies in the inaugural season of Formula Gulf 1000.

Joe Ghanem (Orient Racing) bagged a brace of wins at the Yas Marina Circuit to reinforce his lead in the Formula Gulf 1000 single seater championship for young drivers.

The region’s best young racing drivers make their way to Abu Dhabi this weekend for the penultimate event in the 14-race Formula Gulf 1000 championship.

In possibly the most exciting race since the start of this junior single seater series, 18 year old Natasha Seatter caught and passed Championship leader Joe Ghanem (Orient Racing) to win Round 10 of Formula Gulf 1000 setting fastest lap of the race in the process.

Joe Ghanem (Al Buhaira Insurance) stamped his authority on the Formula Gulf 1000 championship today when he won both races in convincing style at the UAE National Race Day.
